At the ripe age of 19 Pete Cullen wanted to escape the 'Big Smoke', so he packed his swag and moved to Broome, Western Australia. Little did he know that he would hear the sound of Saltwater Country music, the sound of an ancient land and it's connection to it's people.
Following his debut album recorded with the SBS Rockwiz Orkastra, Pete Cullen is set to release the first single off his forthcoming album "Saltwater Cowboy". Inspired by raging oceans, the sunburnt land and it's unique characters. The new record is a honest portrayal of Cullen's connection with Australia.
Pete Cullen has been nominated for 2 QMusic Awards and has performed and the headlined the best pubs & venues in Australia including The Espy, The Annandale, The Zoo, The Brisbane Entertainment centre & is a resident performer at Brisbane's premier venue "Lefty's Old Time Music Hall". He has toured and supported acts such as You Am I, Spiderbait and the Hoodoo Gurus and recorded his debut album with the iconic SBS Rockwiz Orkastra. His music has been played on Triple J, Rave, Channel V, FUEL TV, Triple M, RRR, PBS, ABC Radio National, ABC Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne & 4ZZZ.
